Patricia tried to smile.
—Emiliano, this isn’t what it seems. The girls are confused. Rosa manipulated them.
—I saw you hide the bracelet.
The smile vanished from his face.
—I can explain.
—I also heard you threatening them.
—I was scared. Rosa wants to separate us.
—I saw you lock Rosa up.
Patricia stepped back.
—She provoked me.
Emiliano opened the cellar and freed the employee.
Rosa came out with a reddened arm, but her first reaction was to look for the girls.
Are you okay?
Daniela ran to hug her.
Martina joined them.
Emiliano watched his daughters take refuge in Rosa and felt a deep shame.
Patricia pointed to the scene.
—Look at them! I told you so! That woman wants to replace you.
Rosa looked up.
“No one can replace a present father, ma’am. The problem is that you took advantage of his absence.”
The silence fell like a stone.
Patricia picked up her bag and walked towards the door.
Ramiro intervened.
He can’t leave.
—Am I a prisoner now?
—The police are coming —Emiliano replied.
Patricia let out a disbelieving laugh.
—Are you going to ruin our wedding for a maid?
—No. You destroyed everything when you touched my daughters.
Then came the final blow.
Daniela took a USB drive out of her backpack.
“Rosa made copies of the audio recordings,” he said. “There are also videos from Mom’s old cell phone.”
Patricia was frozen.
For weeks, Daniela and Rosa had kept evidence: insults, threats, punishments, planted objects, and conversations in which Patricia spoke with a lawyer about modifying the trust after getting married.
I didn’t just want to get Rosa out.
She wanted to isolate the girls and get Emiliano to change the control of the family inheritance.
In one of the audio recordings, Patricia said:
“When I sign, those girls can cry all they want. The house will be mine.”
Emiliano listened to the recording without blinking.
Patricia tried to snatch the memory away, but Ramiro held her back.
“That’s illegal!” she shouted. “You can’t record me!”
“Explain it to the judge,” Emiliano replied.
When the officers arrived, Patricia went from being arrogant to crying.
She insisted that she loved the girls, that it had all been a misunderstanding, and that Emiliano was ruining her life.
The bracelet, the cameras, and the audio recordings confirmed the plan.
But justice did not erase the damage.
That night, after the house fell silent, Emiliano sat down in front of his daughters.
Without a suit, phone, or staff around, he was just an embarrassed father.
“Forgive me,” he said. “I believed the adults before asking you.”
