“Sweetheart, has Grandpa ever made you do anything you didn’t want to do?”
Emily stared at me for a long moment before lowering her eyes.
“Grandpa said I shouldn’t tell you yet.”
My entire body went cold.
“Shouldn’t tell me what?”

She remained silent. At that moment, Robert walked into the room. When he saw the bag in my hands, his face turned pale.
“You weren’t supposed to find that,” he said.
I picked Emily up and immediately left the room.
I barely slept that night. Daniel insisted that we should speak to his father before assuming anything, but I no longer trusted
any explanation Robert might give me.

The following morning, I installed a small hidden camera in the living room. It faced the hallway and the closed bathroom
