George tried to defend himself.
“Do we really need all this drama over a few pieces of furniture? We’re your parents!”
Daniel suddenly raised his voice.
“Dad, Sarah has worked six days a week for two years. I’ve come home at midnight more times than I can count. We haven’t even taken the children on vacation because we were trying to save that money!”
Sarah began crying.
“And you decided your ten-day vacation was more important than our family’s future.”
I wanted to apologize, but Daniel continued.
“Mom, Dad, we’ve already made our decision. You need to move out.”
George turned pale.
“You’re throwing your own mother and father out of the house?”
“This is Sarah’s and my home, Dad. We welcomed you here because we loved you. But you betrayed our trust.”
I burst into tears.
“Daniel, where are we supposed to go?”
