“Don’t you dream of having an easier life?”
The woman looked at the sky for a moment and said:
“Of course, I have dreams. I dream of seeing my children succeed in their studies, find good jobs, and live a happy life. For me, their happiness is more important than anything else.”
The boy thanked her and continued his way home. When he arrived, he told his mother about the hardworking woman he had met. His mother listened carefully and then said:
“My son, you must never judge people by their clothes, their homes, or the money they have. A person’s true value comes from their heart, their kindness, and their actions. There are many wonderful people who work hard every day without asking for anything in return.”
The boy never forgot those words.
Years passed, and the woman’s children grew up. Their mother continued to work hard and encourage them to study. Whenever they felt discouraged, she reminded them that success required patience, effort, and determination.
Sometimes, her children came home from school feeling sad because their family did not have as much money as other families. Their mother would sit beside them and say:
“Never be ashamed of your family or your situation. Being poor does not mean being unsuccessful. What matters is your education, your good manners, and your willingness to work hard. If you believe in yourselves and never give up, you can achieve your dreams.”
Her words gave her children strength. They studied seriously, helped one another, and learned to appreciate every sacrifice their mother made for them.
