One day, the eldest son finished his studies and found a good job in the city. He was very happy, but he knew that his success would never have been possible without his mother’s support. He decided to return to his village to surprise her.
When he arrived at the family home, he found his mother in the courtyard, doing her usual household chores. She was washing clothes in the same orange basin she had used for many years.
“Mother!” he called out happily.
She turned around and saw her son standing in front of her. She was surprised and ran to embrace him.
“My dear son! What a wonderful surprise! Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?”
He smiled and held her hands.
“Mother, I have some wonderful news. I have found a good job, and I have come to tell you that all your sacrifices have not been in vain. You worked so hard to give us a better future, and now I want to help you and make your life easier.”
